This is our family’s 1951 Ferguson ted20 reg number MAH413. My grandad bought the tractor in 1982 and it’s been in our family ever since. After the tractor had been sitting for a few years in the field we went to start the tractor in 2018 and the engine was completely seized up after water had got into the exhaust. In 2020 we decided to strip the engine down and get the standard 4 cylinder tvo engine going again. We got down to the pistons to see they were completely seized up and to free them we had no option but to hit the top of the piston with a fence post and a lump hammer. Finally, over a year later because of covid getting in the way we finally got her running again and finally achieved our dreams of buying a topper to use to mow our fields.
